I must have misunderstood this section clearly, because when I submitted my roster and those labeled "Waiver eligible", were freely claimed by other GM's...Roster submission day is Saturday, Oct 1st @ 12 noon EST. We're looking for your starting lineup & 0-3 extras, cap information, AND any players who are WAIVER ELIGIBLE (150 gp or over, 28 or older for skaters & 75 gp or over, 28 or older for tenders). Selected in the waiver draft is consider to be signed to a minor league contract and can begin the year in the minors before roster submission. Those players would need to clear re-entry waivers to be recalled. Remember, when putting someone on LTIR, they must stay there for a minimum of 3 match ups; IR for at least 1 match-up without any replacements
All I meant by making the distinction between my waiver exempt/eligible in my roster submission was that, when during the season I need to move my guys up or down NHL/AHL, these players are to go through waivers or be exempt from it.
I honestly did not know that submitting the opening day roster with waiver eligibility players separate from exempt players meant that it was a free-for-all claiming period of players within that period of time. I was simply just making a distinction between exempt/eligible players due to categorical difference (age/NHL GP).
ie. Luke magically claimed Matt Ellis from me not too long ago, thinking that I put him on waivers thru this roster submission, but all I wanted for him was to remain in my reserves and start the season the marry way. I did not intend for him to be claimed by making this roster submission.
Can anyone help me get Ellis back
