Adding offense to my defense...Murphy last week, Boyle this week. Also have my pending claim of Fraser to make up for some lost periphs.

I don't understand why Detroit in its situation would bring in a 38yrs old at the expens of a much younger asset.

Makes sense to me. He picked up periph heavy Fraser off of waivers; then he trades Periph heavy Tyutin to me to help his offense.

Tyutin will probably end up on my IR shortly :)

I give up age and periphs...Boyle has been productive with the Rangers and they're playing well as a team right now.

this could make sense if he was in a tight battle to make the playoffs.

speaking of playoffs, Boyle is the type of player teams covet at the trade deadline. I imagine if Shoalzie wants to flip him then, he could.

Ya, not sure I get this one. Think definitely could've targeted a younger D-man with offensive upside than an older (but good) Boyle. Maybe boyle will be more attractive to teams near trade deadline than tyutin? Get the return then?
