Another trade where 1st round picks get over valued.

Peter you wanted 2 or 3 roster players from me and you don't even get one back here.

Mike you crushed this. 2nd line Dman for nothing off your roster and still holding a abundance of picks. Table tilted here majorly.

I'd rather have a top 5 pick than jannik hansen, each to his own I guess though

Haha well idk one could argue vlasic and nikitin have similar statistical upside for next season, vlasic is probably a tad better given his history, but it's close nonetheless, and I take the pick over hansen and the insignificant prospect, so I see my value scaling as pretty consistent, as a rebuilding team the upside of the pick is worth downsizing to another solid dman. And it wasn't like I rejected our deal I said yeah then you went mia, no worries though I'm happy to stay rebulding! Its going to be a long road fixing my team up but by staying young and making decent flips hopefully in a coupple years it'll workout. After much shopping I realized this was the kind of deal I wanted to make, and I feel like the value is there and the upsides in my hand :) oh yeah anyone interested in NIkitin pm me

This trade is a joke.

Bergey offered Vlassic + Hansen +
Pete wanted Edler from me for McDonagh + something small (at which I scoffed)
Other people were asked for 2-3 roster players.

Then he goes and trades him for a good prospect + a 1st.

Even if CAR's pick is top 5, TOR crushes this trade. a full year of an h2h stud like mcdonagh >>>> nikitin + a 1st, let alone the trade value of mcdonagh mid-season where Pete would have been able to get way more.

Mike didn't do anything. Pete knew all the offers he had on the table and he chose this one. Pure fanboy trade.

Lol @ bbkl logic, top 5 pick is equal or better than a roster player, does anyone realize that is where most elite talent comes from? Nikitin is a very solid roster player, 32 pts in 54 gaames as a BJ on D, top 5 pick which could be a young top 6 C if anyof you have checked the talent of next years draft! You are all bitter, the trade is easy for mike but its also easy for me, most of you offered me shit. No need to defend myself, but I am anyways, the fact is that 2 way centermen are the most valuable thing on bbkl, and next years draft is full of them, no flawed logic, with two top 5 picks I'm golden, it flips well for me with other trades.

I offered this to mike ps, and the value of that pick alone could be equal to mcdonagh. This draft is far superior to last years in the top 5ish area and I'm not just saying that. It'll take a year but I'm 100 ppercent sure this trade will pay off.

Honestly I like this deal more than vlasic and hansen, and bergey went mia on that deal. Deal fits perfect to my team plan

Honestly I think I just talked McDonagh up so much that everyone is bitter to see him go. I traded Morgan Rielly and a first for Mcdonagh and landed what I think will be a better prospect and Nikitin who is much more valuable than the semi-latish first i traded. I honestly think I did quite well here.

which is fine. I just don't see how anyone could think I did bad here. Obviously its an easy deal for MIke as he instantly becomes lethal well just using one of his many firsts, but I traded what was 4th overall last year for Couturier, if this deal were Couturier + Nikitin everyone would think I raped, I just don't see the logic from the other side, except for the fact that the draft is a long way away, come draft time that pick will be worth gold, it just works like that.

lol I must be bored if I'm putting this much into defending a trade, I just hate the contender logic on bbkl, I'm not a contender, it doesnt apply

It's bad timing for firsts is the only thing I'm hearing. If Pete hold onto this first, then he's right, this is a value increase.
