We'll see shiv...You keep doing what your doing. You are the guy that will slander everyones block trying to lower value and be the first one with offer to inbox's. lol. You say all you want but you know you want him bad. He is going to be a beast in Boston.
Re: Iginla
Not bad Paul. Looking for a little more mature of a prospect. Someone who has put in the time in minors and is ready to make the jump.gooker wroteCOLONshea theodore + 2014 1st wsh

Re: Iginla
Not slandering bro. I love Iggy. This year's cap makes fitting him in almost impossible though. I do think he will be a beast in BOS though. Just 6M winger like Iggy is hard to justify when guys like Franzen, Lupul, Kunitz, Oshie etc. are around.CAM wroteCOLONWe'll see shiv...You keep doing what your doing. Re: Iginla
Its a 30 team league. You listed like 4 players who are on amazing contracts in comparison to this one upcoming seasons lowered cap. Every team has a 23 man roster. It may be hard for you and your methods, not every team is in the same boat.

Re: Iginla
I think you will be shocked by how few teams in this league can afford that contract (I'd say 5-7 max). And the market gets even smaller when you talk about how many of those teams are willing to pay for an older guy like Iggy as many of those 7 teams will be rebuilding teams (shrinking your possible market to 2-3 max).CAM wroteCOLONIts a 30 team league. Re: Iginla
right at this very second maybe, but that is because the teams that can take him on tend to be inactive this time of year. I am actually thinking of throwing out an offer on iggy as I know I could get a nice return if I hold onto him until the season is close to start. All those teams who don't have cap will be willing to pay much more for him then. I think you under estimate the market shiv.SuperMario wroteCOLONI think you will be shocked by how few teams in this league can afford that contract (I'd say 5-7 max). Re: Iginla
I'm amazed by the complete lack of hype around Iggy. Guy is a monster and an amazingly reliable hockey player. Boston will love him as he slides into the spot Horton vacated, and throws up another 30g season.

It's the time of year where Prospects/NHL hopefuls >>>>>> NHL vets.

Re: Iginla
It's not that Iggy isn't a great player. It's this year's cap ceiling.
Shook, I think you are completely wrong about more teams being interested in him as the season goes on. Kyle has had Iggy on the block since last year when the cap was 70.2.
The only kinds of teams that would be interested in Iggy are like mine or your or Nicks (most of which can't afford him), or rebuilding ones who likely will not part with great building pieces for him.
Kyle will have to lose the Iggy trade in order to move him - something he hasn't made peace with yet.

Hey, I'm someone who is guilty for that happening. Trying to shed cap without crazy loss in value means finding value in prospects. I fully understand why rebuilder's try to only acquire sub-30's, and I agree with that concept when it comes to non-hall-of-fame caliber players, they are worth less each year over. But the HOF genre produce right until they retire....
Re: Iginla
disagree. I think there are many mid build teams that will pay up for someone like him after they explore other options. The ANA, CGY, NYR etc. Teams that are closer to winning than not and are looking to upgrade. They will pay for someone like iggy as players with similar output but younger cost triple what the asking will be for iginla. It's a smart trade for them.SuperMario wroteCOLONIt's not that Iggy isn't a great player. It's this year's cap ceiling.

Have you met Josh, Cliff, KyleNYR? No way they take on Iggy, unless it's a home run deal for them.shooker wroteCOLONdisagree. Not saying Iggy is immoveable btw, I'm saying KyleBOS will have to lose the trade to shed the cap, which is something that is tough to accept this year but you eventually have to like myself, Nick, Steve etc. have done.

Re: Iginla
Great discussion. I am in no hurry to move anyone. It keeps me interested in the summer months. I will trade Wheeler for maximum value before i lose big time on trading Iginla. If i am to lose, it will be to one of the less fortunate teams that deserve it. I will not lose a trade to any contenders. I will make good hockey deals all day long. I am not looking to win this year, just still be competitive and maybe get lucky.
Re: Iginla
I made my offers but Kyle can probably get more ... Poop.
