It's not everyday that you can acquire a top pairing defenceman for two middle tier prospects. Andy Greene is also young enough that he can realistically help my team for this season, and future seasons.

Yeah, I'm usually big proponent of NHL players > prospects. But this was a case where I had one too many players on the backend especially with the acquisitions of Robidas and Rundblad and Matt Donovan looking like he's ready to play a big role in the NHL.

Shedding Greene also gives me some cap flexibility and allows me to add a big piece later on if I need/want to. Also both Beck and Lessio might be able to contribute in the NHL this year.
