Only slightly annoying when I hear so much that more than 75% of the league will only trade for players under 24. Thats a fine balance
Your team is built on "H2H players", and productive veterans, if this league had a different philosophy your team wouldn't be anywhere near as successful as it is now, or in the future. You saw a flaw in the BBKL value system and have exploited it, embrace the indifference, don't bash it...
Agreed 100%..
And also, Kareem's a prime example of exactly what I mean. He had a team full of stars, sold them and now has the greatest prospect system known to man. When you have stars/quality NHLers, you can restock the cupboard whenever the fuck you please.

This is exactly why I don't mind making this trade. Hillen and Jeffrey are fighting for NHL roles. Oleksiak is years from making the NHL, if he ever does. PA is a legit NHLer.

Exactly. It's always been my method. Having a big prospect pool when you're trying to compete just doesn't make sense. I understand if you d not feel you can win but if you want to be the best team you can, spend what you have to improve the 23 man roster.
To be honest, I don't see a significant spike in value when a prospect becomes a player..

Logan Couture, Travis Hamonic, Jeff Skinner, Travis Hamonic etc.
Elite prospects don't spike in value, but the tier just below explode if they break out, the younger the better.

Hamonic's so nice you mentioned him twice.
But really, those guys value was and is great. Sure, their values went up but not significantly. I terms of BBKL value that is..

I owned Couture, and Hamonic, and trust me their value went up considerably...

My goal is to keep a few top prospects and hope they explode, then I use the rest for upgrades.
My method is a little bit different, but it works for me.

Please elaborate further on how else we could move forward in fantasy hockey in a scoring system where we try and mimic the NHL and have value for all players , not just offensive ones. When trying to win, is balance on your team not the goal? Why would not every single team in here build a team around H2H players? How is that a flaw? Nothing has changed since day one so how could the philosophy of building the best H2H team while remaining cap compliant be an exploitation of our setup?

I think what Kareem is trying to say is that you "get it" and that you should be happy that others don't lol.

Lol, i am not bashing that i just want people that dont get it, to, so that it makes the league as a whole more competitive. The same way Kareem wanted league parity and took matters into his own hands. Let me just say that i think we have the best group of GM's since the league began. It is just difficult when you have no middle class. May I also say the fuck COL has one stacked team. Go Bryan...

Shook is the ultra rare combo of someone who watches a lot of hockey, watches the stats, is nice and easy to make trades with and wants to win. His team is insanely loaded and should be #1 on any projections list, and not just because he's in the west/north-west.
Only thing I continue to like about young players is their cap hit.

I can sympathize with wanting more parity, but it wont happen just because you want it to. My personal opinion is that a "middle class" will be the last thing to develop in this league, not unlike most new leagues (real life and fantasy), there are dominant teams and bottom feeders, the middle group develops over time.
P.S. Shook is a plug

Shep you're dreaming if you think any kid manages to make it to the NHL with any type of virginity.

Probably Grimaldi too by the time he gets to the NHL
