PHI / PIT
Re: PHI / PIT
Smart more for both sides I think.
If PA can repeat last year's # his value will go way up, just so many questions around NYI.

And no picks, no top-prospects, no future. I don't see the continuity in your line-up, Lee. You're blowing it out for the hope of tomorrow.
Re: PHI / PIT
Doesn't matter at all. You need an NHL roster, it's fantasy and there is always time to replace retired players.hockeysense wroteCOLONAnd no picks, no top-prospects, no future. I don't see the continuity in your line-up, Lee. You're blowing it out for the hope of tomorrow.

Re: PHI / PIT
Picks and prospects can win you championships?
I could trade any one of those players for picks or prospects.

Re: PHI / PIT
Rather have top-prospects coming through my team, then wasting them on low-upside players (some exceptions apply). But that's just me. Hopefully Lee's call on Parenteau was worth trading Oleksiak for.

So you think you have a chance to win this year?Kezia wroteCOLONPicks and prospects can win you championships?

Re: PHI / PIT
I am closer now than I was before that trade.
Re: PHI / PIT
Well, good luck then. I don't know what Parenteau is capable of - nothing in his career suggests that last year was anything but a fluke, so I hope it works out.
Re: PHI / PIT
Considering the roster Lee took over, he has done fucking amazing things. Prospects are nice and all but i think too many people are obsessed with them and like mentioned before, sooner or later you gotta try and win. There should always be an accelerated plan in fantasy hockey. Just my opinion, though. The turnover on players in here is insane.....
Re: PHI / PIT
It's cheaper to buy a top end prospect when he is a prospect than it would be to buy that player when he hits his potential. One of the reasons people trade for prospects.mr. bruin wroteCOLONConsidering the roster Lee took over, he has done fucking amazing things. Also, no need for an accelerated plan in a legit keeper league like the one we have here, unless of course you are impatient .

The thing about a good prospect is that they retain their value for quite a long time.Kezia wroteCOLONIf they hit their potential.KapG wroteCOLONIt's cheaper to buy a top end prospect when he is a prospect than it would be to buy that player when he hits his potential. Re: PHI / PIT
Lol, I am impatient. But you are right. This league has the makings for the long haul. I may disagree though about the cheaper buying top end prospects statement. The majority of this league pay way over value for "prospects". A prospect to me is just that. They have the potential to be good. I am unsure if you were here when we looked at past history of players and picks and the success rate of actually making the NHL let alone being good. That is why a fulltime roster player should hold a lot more value in here than they do. I will try and find that info. It was good.
