he wasn't offered an NHL contract, he didnt really have options.

I personally hate the guys game. He has undeniable talent but doesn't play a style that uses those skills. Keep the plug overseas I say.

he was one of the best 5v5 players in the NHL ... top 10 in goals per minute or something like that.

Would love to get inside his head to find out what's stopping him from fitting in on a team.

Brendl is not at all the same, far less talented, but also more productive. Injuries, and not the mental game ruined Pavel Brendl.

Looks like Connor Murphy won't be going to Miami U to play with Tyler Biggs, he signed a three year ELC, and if I'm not mistaken that nullifies his NCAA eligibility. His OHL rights are owned by the Sarnia Sting. Biggs was set to be roomies with Murphy, I wonder if this alters his plans in any way, assuming I am correct.

Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting Head Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Connor Murphy to an OHL Contract and Education Package.

“This is a very special day for the Sarnia Sting organization. To be able to recruit a player of Connor’s stature to commit to our program and choose to sign a OHL Contract and Scholarship package speaks volumes for the direction we are headed.” commented Jacques Beaulieu.

do the sting have any goaltending? If so, they are going to be one hell of a team to face.

Yeah as a GM, I'd tend to shy away from drafting NCAA prospects because I'd rather them focus on hockey instead of academics.

It's mediocre, but the top teams usually acquire top end net minders closer to the deadline anyways, so it's not a huge issue.

Yes sir, CHL hockey in general is going to be fun this season, I am especially eager to follow the junior careers of Nathan Mackinnon and Aaron Ekblad.

Speaking of unfair, the Halifax Mooseheads feature a prominent group this season: Nathan Mackinnon, Martin Frk, Alexandre Grenier, Carl Gelinas, Konrad Abeltshauser and Peter Delmas and Mathieu Corbeil-Thériault in goal.
