IMO you can clearly extrapolate:
IF the team could have fit the player at the trade deadline, and they have MORE space with each passing day, and the player has LESS cap hit with each passing day... do i need to keep going with that?

I was just curious, as it does impact both the validity of the story, and the Leafs flexibility should they opt to trade for Brad Richards rights prior to July 1st.Shep wroteCOLONAnd this is why I didn't even want to get into it. All signs point to Richards and his camp wanting to test the market.. I feel trading for Richards' rights would be a waste. If he's going to sign here he's going to sign here after July 1.
