Lotta rumors varlamov is on his way out, Holtby + Neuvirth is solid but too young. Odds are if Varlamov goes they at least get a veteran back up, but may pursue a starter.

they have 3 young goalies, it makes no sense for them not to use the opportunity provided by a cheap G duo and save cap room (which they need)..

even if Varlamov signs in Russia, Neuvirth and Holtby so far have suggested that they can take the load.. so unless both fail i don't see the Caps signing a good G.
