I officially petition that the Philadelphia Flyers be moved to the newly formed conference and be relocate to Alabama and be changed from the Flyers to either the Rednecks, Yokels or Hillbillies.

My overall feelings on this is either keep things the way they are or essentially re-draft the franchises and allow everyone to pick their NHL team over again. Make the draft in the order of finish this season with the #1 team (Scott) choose his team and so on until I pick from the last two and Lee gets the last team available. Then, have that be our league going forward. We need to stop the annual talk of Team A wants to move to another conference. If there truly is imbalance, allow everyone to pick where they feel comfortable and we essentially start with new teams but keep the same players. Let's either do mass re-alignment or none at all.
I actually dont mind that idea Shoalzie. Because there would be hell to pay if someone took the Bruins But i like how you assumed Scott would be picking first.
