lol yes. but okposo + kadri was flipped for kane. i thought about who has the edge going forward skinner or giroux when i made this trade. i'm not sure what the answer is. what do you think?

I'd have stopped at Kadri and Okposo, that's where the ceiling and biggest h2h impact lies, 2 guys that should do well basically across the board. Skinner is shocking me with his production, so I'm not the person to ask, clearly haven't watched enough of him. I watch too much philly, and love the Richards-Giroux SHTOI and STPTS connection though.


Regarding this trade, Kane is better, but not a 5M gap and sometimes the effect on the rest of roster makes a trade worthwhile.

On the topic of this trade, it might not be so bad when all is said and done. Skinner isn't as good as Kane in real life, but he is a dynamic scorer, and has the potential to put up some pk time, and hits in the future, and at a cheaper cap hit.

I surprised to see that Skinner is actually 7-4-1 against Kane head-to-head...albeit, Kane has played 6 fewer games.

There's no doubt that Skinner has the makings of an excellent center...from Matt's perpsective, he's basically naked at center now...I didn't realize he had Skinner until yesterday, thought he was still with Buffalo. He's able to add salary but I guess I don't know what you leave yourself with basically nobody up in the middle.

Shiv didn't have a lack of quality centers already and Datsyuk should be back before the end of the month and Spezza appears to be a week away from getting back. Shiv saves a lot of money and he's got two money items on IR...in fact, Spezza and Datsyuk make the most money on his team. Moving Kane gives him flexibility and it's not like he's truly trading down although he dealt a proven scorer for a rookie. Skinner isn't exactly playing like a rookie.
