I'm not positive if they're airing Finland-Sweden at 11 a.m. but I'll tune in to find out. They have the last 3 games of the day listed so that's good.

When I saw Canada kept hitting posts I started to think we might indeed see an incredible upset and it was so close...

I felt like after going up 2-0 they were not so good anymore without the puck, something went missing in their game and the Slovaks started getting their chances...which made for a heck of a game.

Thoughts on the goalie interference calls. I think both were right but lots to be left to interpretation, in particular on the first one.

The only question that needs to be addressed with a goalie interference call...did the opposing player play any part in why the goalie was unable to make a save that would've prevented the goal? If there's any doubt, then don't call it.

That being said, Canada was too much for them last night and it's sour grapes to complain about calls. Canada-Czechia will be a very good final...a great bookend to the upset win from the opening night of the tournament.

I think by the letter of the law in international hockey, that is goaltender interference, its a shit rule, but it's the right call. I think if that goal counts, the whole momentum shift with in, the Americans have a real shot. Without that goal Canada just dominated from that point on. It was an incredible start for the US, but they couldn't sustain. I think Canada will pump Czechia, 3-4 goal win, if not more.

the 2nd one isn't even debatable.
it was clearly frozen and the whistle should have gone. (like it did in the 3rd when the US didn't even have the puck frozen)

Ya only issue with the first is the butt check on the spin prevented the goalie from fully extending… so I get why it was called.

Fun game last night...this was definitely Canada's tournament to lose and they almost did.
