It's crazy to believe Wright falls beyond Arizona. I can see New Jersey taking a dman as they have plenty of centers already, but if Wright is there, they have to have a serious conversation about it. But if Wright is available for Arizona, is he not the better option over Cooley?

There's something about a guy being the #1 prospect for a long time that it seems like draft "gurus" want to talk themselves out of that guy being the best prospect. Wright has been "the guy" of this draft year for a while. Is everyone getting cold feet with the draft getting closer or are some just overthinking it?

2 or 3 would trade down before not taking Wright, I think it must just be to get people talking and drive clicks.

The issue with Wright is that he is probably the best player in this class today, but if you're projecting 3years from now who the best player is...there are players with more upside than Wright. There is an argument to be made for Cooley over Wright, but most GM's will play it safe bc those are the kinds of decisions that get you fired if you're wrong.

This is exactly how Patrick ended up being the 2nd pick in Philadelphia for instance. Once Hischier was gone the goal was to trade down and eventually had to settle on Patrick.
