Yup...I actually addressed a lot of the waiver wire moves and late contract termination stuff last night. He's no longer under contract starting with Week 2. He was technically under contract until after the Week 1 lineup deadline. Same for Matej Chalupa...I believe he's on Paul's team.

I'll get the late signings addressed tonight. That'll affect a few of us. I had Schneider sign just after the season started. Trying to get those Boyle/Chiasson/etc. in the fold. Obviously Brady Tkachuk is in play for Week 2.

Was curious what sort of impact Beach has had in BBKL and it was a lot bigger than I expected. He was traded probably over 10 times since it was back in the day of crazy trading. The biggest trade he was involved in was him and a 2nd for Kucherov.

Also some GMs had met him personally

I partied with Beach for a night what a beauty.

hahah i was too many drinks into the night to care about an autograph - horrible shots and some laughs was all I was interested in. Cliffy will tell the full story I'm sure, but a quick breakdown is that blank happened and afterwards we were out drinking with Jamie Benn, Taylor Ellington, Kyle Beach, Josh Caron, Kris Friedam, and stuff for Cliff's sister's wedding - today she's marrying Mike Alexander formerly of the Everett Silvertips. Pretty good group of guys, Caron and Beach are complete opposites but total beauties.

I was chirping Beach about making the Hawks before the next set of youngsters do, and about some points this year.

Was he as much of an asshole as his reputation gives off?

Asshole? not at all. Pretty typical hockey player, just pretty wild.

ye he was telling stories of how he'd get benched when his team was on a playoff run and they had already won games - coaches didn't trust him to not get suspended, but no coach ever told him to change how he played - obviously they love it, stuff cannot be taught. And if that was in regards to passing - well, ye he knows he shoots and scores more then he passes and gets apples. If i'm not mistaken he's the best man at the wedding.

You are mistaken, I'm looking at the best man now (no homo) .. It's Warren Roberts. Benn's table is a gongshow Beach is rowdy haha.

Wasn’t making light of the situation. Everything is out in the media and was curious about what was discussed about him here. It was interesting seeing people met him and their opinion on what he was like, seems like he was definitely not a quiet guy who kept to himself.

Pretty sad story and the denial by everyone involved is the worst part.
