[2018-19] Roster Submissions

We make sure that Roster Submission is as close to the season as possible but we don't run it up against the Week 1 lineup lock because we need a few days to process the initial waivers and make sure everyone has a legal lineup.

October 2011, rosters submission fines:

A few punishments to announce regarding roster submission:
Winnepeg - 7th round pick to be forfeited
Ottawa - 7th round pick to be forfeited
Phoenix - official warning for removal + 3rd round pick to be forfeited
Washington - official warning for removal + 3rd round pick to be forfeited
Columbus - official warning for removal + 3rd round pick to be forfeited
1st warning: Failure to submit roster (02.10.13)
Buffalo - two official warning for removal + 3rd round pick to be forfeited
1st warning: Failure to submit roster (02.10.13)
2nd warning: Repeated failure to adhere to admin requests to do so (02.10.13)

GMs who are fined picks please PM me the pick you will drop. 2013 if you have it.

To be fair...we've not enforced that in years. We have had late submissions every year but nothing has been done.

I think we can come up with a new penalty structure but let's not worry about it today. We basically have everyone in before noon today. I'm okay with that.

Our week 1 lineup doesn't need to match our preseason does it? Cuz some of the guys I submitted at submission on roster were sent to minors.

no, two separate submission (lineups).

In fact, before Scott's googledocs demanded lineups and caps for 'season roster submission' what we were doing was that at season roster submission rosters needed to be compliant in terms of total number of players and contracts, but there was no lineup to submit since there is no fantrax roster lock at our deadline for season roster submission.

Only with the last generation of googledocs we have been asked to provide lineups (and be cap compliant) already with season roster submission.

I believe Da_Hawks here didn't realize that we had 2 different submissions, one for the start of the season (where lineups already need to be compliant in terms of cap and waivers, but do not matter with reference to our first week of matchups) and one at the first roster lock, where lineups determine the fantrax lineups that indeed go h2h in week #1.
