They had a video prepped and it never played so they tried to cover and ask an interview question. Then they tried playing it again and it still didn't work. Bettman asking the crowd to continue to boo him. McPhee tried doing his speech from memory and it was rough, he also seemed to be listening to hecklers in the crowd that threw him off. They had the teleprompter way off center. MC guy was putting the mic next to his phone and playing audio clips.

Super awkward all around. I could've put on a better production in my backyard.

I usually would say "everybody makes mistakes I hope they don't fire someone for that mistake" when I see a small screw up, but someone definitely needs to be fired for those video screw ups and the production in general.

The incident took place on Nov. 22nd in a Facebook forum in which Sparks is an administrator. In response to some hateful comments about a disabled person Sparks retorted that he wanted to find the person in a pick-up game and beat him "to a [expletive] pulp", adding that the user sounded "like a 13-year-old girl." Yikes. To make matters worse Sparks went on to state that "Girls don’t even whine as much as this guy does," after being reprimanded for his original sexist remark. Lastly, AHL Toronto Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe said there is no timetable for the 23-year-old's return and his status will be reevaluated next week.

Ya, I'm cool with it. It was mostly a bullshit, emotional threat anyways. He's not going to actually go out of his way to hunt the guy down and beat him lol. If someone thinks it's ok to bully a disabled person then I don't feel sympathy for them when they get bullied back.

He never said he was going to beat the guy up. He mentioned what he would like to do in a theoretical situation in order to get the guy to leave the disabled person alone.

Not the best way to handle things, but when it comes down to it, he was defending a disabled person from bullying on the Internet.

I don't know why someone making a particular sort of threat or bullying comment should be treated any more or less seriously than another. Sparks' responses is just as much in the wrong as the original person.
