It wouldn't be a bad idea to give Kareem a trade buddy. Value/trading has changed since he left; you can no longer overpay for a player and expect the same in return.

I volunteer to be his trade advisor for a few weeks.

MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONIt is with great sadness and regret that I must inform you of my decision to resign as General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks, effective immediately. I respect this league, and value it's members, and it is for that reason that I am electing to resign.

I re-entered this league with the intention of picking up where I left off, however, I have been unable to regain the same interest level that made me a valuable, albeit controversial member of BBKL. My decision goes beyond commitments to work and extracurricular activities, the passion that I once had for this league is gone, and I can't seem to regain it. I'm sure this must seem like a rash decision, but I assure you that that this decision was not made in haste, I have spent the better part of the past year considering resignation, but held off for fear of doing something I may regret. The truth is that I was more afraid to lose my position in BBKL than I was excited to be apart of it. It's really telling when simply logging onto BBKL feels like a chore rather than a fun past-time, and that is how it's felt for a while now. It never used to be this way, which is why my activity and productivity has fallen off a cliff. This league can do better, and it deserves better.

I understand that by resigning for the umpteenth time that I will never be granted entry back into this league, and I have taken that into strong consideration. If at all possible, I would like to remain an active member of this forum, but understand if that is not possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for respecting my wishes, and best of luck moving forward. I'd also like to thank Nick personally for vouching for me this entire time, it couldn't have been easy given my non-activity. I'm sorry I couldn't have rewarded your confidence, just know that I tried too renew my passion for BBKL, I really, really tried... If any of you have any further questions, I am happy to answer them.
this is not to point out that he didn't expect the league would let him back another time, rather to wonder what is different this time around with reference to the bolded part.

That's something we would like to hear about from him
Honestly, I don't know that much has changed. I'm not going to be as passionate as I used to be because I don't have the same time or interest, and anyone expecting that will be disappointed. I'm really just looking for a fun league to join without having to commit too much time beyond the minimum (updating rosters and making the occasional trade), if that isn't what you guys are looking fair it's completely understandable, but I don't want to rejoin on false pretenses.

Still sounds better than pulling some jonny we don't know off the street.

I'm all for bringing back Kareem.

What is the prospect and draft pick situation of this team? Is this a shit team with its own prospects and picks or a depleted team with neither? I ask because if it's the latter you probably want someone more active than me to rebuild it.

Benson, Point, Goldobin, Puljujarvi and some other OK prospects. Good players on the roster but needs trades since there is only 1 center.

That's promising, does the team have its own picks for 2017 and 2018?

It also needs goaltending. It currently has Jimmy Howard.

It has NJD + tbl 1sts for 2017 and NJD 1st for 2018.

Wingers and defence are solid.

Probably a rebuild roster.

2017 1, 1 (TBL), 2 (CGY), 3, 3 (WSH), 4, 5, 5 (OTT), 6, 7
2018 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Needs a goalie too but should make minimum with Howard + Khudobin

Lots of assets to work with it's not a bottom 5 team but still a ways a way from being a competitor.

Why are you so keen on giving up your team Lee? If you want to rebuild then rebuild the Flyers nothing is stopping you from conceding they can't win now and building for the future.

Why ruin a good team for the sake of ruining them? It has nothing to do with not being able to or not wanting to win. If Kareem would like a great foundation that might keep him around longer, and I get to do what I enjoy most, why not?
