College Hockey talk
The 2016 tournament starts today.
I'm paying a little more attention to it now since Michigan is back in for the first time since 2012. Notre Dame-Michigan will soon be a conference matchup (again)...the Irish join the Big Ten in '17-18. They foes in the old CCHA days.
Here's the field of 16:
Midwest -- North Dakota vs. Northeastern / Michigan vs. Notre Dame
Northeast -- Boston College vs. Harvard / Providence vs. Minnesota-Duluth
East -- Quinnipiac vs. RIT / UMass-Lowell vs. Yale
West -- St. Cloud State vs. Ferris State / Denver vs. Boston University
They'll be down to the Frozen Four by Sunday.
Plenty of BBKL talent and a few 2016 draft eligible player on display. Who do you have in the field?

Trade me jake walman
Re: College Hockey talk
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know anything about the OHL playoffs and why my bookie has London as a +515 ML tonight against Owen Sound? I'm thinking they just screwed up in which case they would cancel the bet once they realize but is there something I'm missing here that should prevent me from putting a quick $100 on it?
London is home, really good, and a 3v6 seed matchup that they should easily win from everything I can find.

Who are some of the talented college guys that will be eligible for our waiver draft this year?

North Dakota has moved on (as expected). Will play the winner of Michigan-Notre Dame...the Irish are up 2-1 in the second.

Motte with the OT winner! Revenge for being knocked out in hoops by ND.
Re: College Hockey talk
Nice game, JT wins it
Re: College Hockey talk
was also the guy that took away possession from the opponents to start that play, if I'm not mistaken

Re: College Hockey talk
He was definitely around to help force the turnover at the blue line. Good to see all 3 members of the CCM line get a point on that goal after being shutout in regulation. North Dakota is going to be a very tough test today.
This might be the be single best day of a college hockey season...the Saturday of opening weekend. Two regional finals and the other two regions getting underway. Frozen Four Thursday is great but I think I favor this day in terms of volume of games.
