Tough move to make but I got at least what I was asking for...a solid draft pick and I freed up a couple roster spots to be able to make some other moves. I can scour the waiver wire freely or I can make deals that don't have to be limited to even up in terms of the number of players involved.

My obvious fear is Bickell's value to continue to rise as he gets more experience. Lashoff is a solid defense prospect with the Wings but he's not too highly rated so I could afford to move him. Hopefully Bickell can help steal me a category (or two) from the mighty Devils before he goes out the door. :|

Lee...you definitely made me a solid offer as well. There were positives in both your offer and Mike's offer. We'll see it how it shakes it out. My luck is that Ottawa has a big year and that pick is late in the round and I get even more egg on my face.

I'd have preferred to be able to make a counter offer, but I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I thought my offer had similar if not better value, but I guess what he really wanted was roster spots in one trade.

boys...i can not believe the value that people give to the draft picks in here. What is a 2nd round pick compared to a proven young roster player who has already made the jump? Im dumbfounded. If you wanted to clear spots why not trade prospects instead of a player who has already made it and has upside? I am so confused by some of the moves...am i missing something. Do you all know something about our picks that i don't?
