Players on waivers
Nobody currently on waivers
Please post here when:
- Waiving/claiming a player.
- Assigning or recalling a player to/from your AHL affiliate.I. You may no longer freely release a contracted player.*
II. If your player clears waivers he will be assigned to your AHL affiliate.
III. When waived, the player is eligible to be claimed until 12:00PM EST the next weekday.
IV. Waiver priority is set by A) previous year reverse standings (for 2009/10 we will use the NHL's standings) and B) reverse BBKL standings after November 1st.
V. Waiver priority is not lost by making a claim.
VI. Only one claim per day per team.
VII. After a successful claim you should request that player from his previos team on CBS.
- Assigning a player to/from your 'press box' reserves.I. If you are recalling a waiver eligible player you must indicate so - he will be available at full cap hit. It is not practical to half player cap hits. If a player in the real NHL has his cap hit halved that will be reflected on BBKL.

* We will have a 'unconditional release period' on [date TBA]. On that day GMs may PM me (Starpainter) a list of up to five players who will be unconditionally released. Later in the off-season, during the week of [TBA], we will have an NHL style buy-out period during which players can be bought out for 2/3rds of their salary remaining (no, not cap hit) over twice the span of their contract. This will count against your cap.I. Please provide documentation of the players injury in the form of a respected news source link.

Notes:
- Waiver eligibility: Any player who is over 21 years of age & has played in more then 150 games needs to clear waivers (up or down). Any goalie who is over 22 years of age, and has played in more then 75 games needs to clear waivers. Any player over 28 must clear waivers. Waiver eligibilities are retroactive to the beginning of the season.
- Anyone who was waived or in the free agent pool before October 5th may be freely claimed.
- Please make sure any moves do not put you over the cap or your team will be punished!
- NCAA and International FA's can only be claimed via the leagues annual dispersal draft, you may not claim them through the waiver wire, unless X player has been signed by an NHL club prior to the start of the season.
