Ron Francis likely new GM in Carolina at season's end.

If Wards plays like he did these past few games they are a monster team...

watching That's hockey the other day and they said that clarkson needed to change his game to the way Ward plays to be effective.Nick wroteCOLONIf Wards plays like he did these past few games they are a monster team...

Let's be honest, the team Lee's inherited was really even worse than the ones we were given, and by a fair margin.Tony wroteCOLONLee's team had one less point than the team I took over ... the previous GMs really fucked us

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The game on Saturday is massive...the Wings losing to Columbus sets up a 4-way tie for the two wild cards. The Wings still have games with Montreal, Toronto and Tampa this week. The schedule gets easier in April.

Heads seriously need to roll, regardless of whether or not we make the playoffs.
Losing 6 games in a row at this time of this year is ridiculous.

If we miss the playoffs two things will happen (the first one forsure)Lee wroteCOLONHeads seriously need to roll, regardless of whether or not we make the playoffs.

1) Reimer replaced with a capable backup
2) Randy Fired.
Reimer is gone forsure, we're going to have to cut him loose for basically nothing. I'm assuming we wont even qualify him and he'll be able to sign as a UFA some place else this summer.
I also dont think Randy's a good fit for this team. We need someone like Paul Maurice (as mike suggested) or as i suggested Marc Crawford. Someone who lets the players play their style game..not a style they aren't suited for. No more of these 'old school' guys.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The problem with hiring Maurice is that he likely has designs on upper management. After we fired him he went to business school at U of T IIRC. Nobody wants to be the guy who hires his eventual replacement.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
No he just wanted to run an LCBO agency store
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Fuck. No. Paul Maurice.
Stop recycling old garbage. He was here and now he is gone.
Steve Spott might be a good option.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
He has shit to work with last time around
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
oh wow, isn't he the guy who coached U20 team Canada a while ago?
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Yup, coaching the Marlies right now.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Think something very telling is that Spott has the Marlies tied with the Griffins and Wolves for first overall with the fewest goals against.
