2 UFAs to Buffalo? They'll just flip Stewart and Halak anyways.

How does no one on the TSN panel know that Carrier's first name is William? He was a 2nd round pick in the last draft and these are paid hockey professionals. I don't expect them to know every prospect, but pretty weak knowledge.

Don't like the trade for St. Louis, seems like a lot to pay for a UFA goalie. If they win the cup it looks good, if they resign him then it looks OK, but otherwise I'm surprised they gave up so much when there was pretty much no trade market for Miller.

Happy for my BBKL team though since Stewart goes from a 3rd liner playing 13+min to a 1st line forward.

sabres did well. i always wished the leafs fully embraced the rebuild like this, but i guess our "re-tool" looks ok now.

Seems to me like the Sabers did wicked good. Halak is interesting if nothing else, good duo if he signs cheap with Enroth. Stewart, Carrier & 1st.

I get why STL does it, as Miller cements their goaltending in a big way, and Ott brings more of that really hard to play against grit that their forward core oozes.

BUF also gets a '14 1st if the Blues make the West final or resign Miller, HUGE win for the Sabres considering there wasn't much of a market for him.

Ya, love this deal for buffalo

But if the blues resign miller or ott, or even both I think it turns out to be a good deal all around

Sharks commentators kept saying that Stewart is being flipped to Ottawa for picks ... hasn't happened yet

definitely what I wanted for years and I was quite literally heart broken over us going through the "re-tool" we went through. Like you said it looks OK now. Still hurts a little bit but no where close to as much. Helps that kessel has turned into what everyone thought he was going to turn into when he was going h2h against crosby for the 1 spot.

There was lots of talk around if they were same draft , who would be #1 - than his draft year hit and lots of speculation of not a super character kid, whereas Sid was and had an utterly dominant draft year.

Yep, word was Kessel had subpar pre-draft interviews with teams.
