Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Ya 17 more shouldn't be an issue, Schneider might get that on his own.
I was just kidding and likely need to hold onto him since I'm hoping him, Reimer and Gibson will provide me with 41+ next season.

wont get any cheaper than that for a starter + his backup..and i'm not kidding or trolling.Tony wroteCOLONWhat a deal!!

Maybe, but I think both Reimer and Gibson are better goalies than Mason and Emery isn't signed next season.

"Reimer may not be good enough to start for the Maple Leafs, but he can play for my Team Canada. He graded above average in every category and still struggles to gain respect among his own fan base to the point where the only criticism that can be tossed at him is poor rebound control. Reimer has been dominant on rebounds and we can see by the heat maps that he has been exposed in the highest goal-scoring areas"
I don't understand how so many Leaf fans hate on Reimer, he carried a not so good Leafs team to the playoffs last season and almost stole the series against the B's.
Bernier being good doesn't = Reimer is bad now.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
i really think reimer sucks....well i rather think his inconsistant...he'll put up a 50 save night and only allow 2 goals, followed by a 4 goal night on 15 shots. I think his rebound control is awful and his puck skills are non-existant.
i think under a different style he'd be ok, a team who likes to block shots (see minny, St louis, etc...)
i dont think riemer is a good fit in toronto.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
nope, i'm convinced you guys love the leafs to much to see how inconsistant Reimer is. For instance (and i hate to say it) but Randy agrees with me, just no faith in Reimer. and why should he? guy is inconsistant with no rebound or puck control.
and i'm not trolling, i 100% believe and think everything i've posted above.
also - 4 of Bernier's L's have come because of Reimer...Bernier comes into net, holds off the other team, leafs catch up, take it to a shoot-out, leafs Lose.

Read the article I linked Steve. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/pric ... alie-race/ It's difficult to argue with numbers and Reimer is amazing on rebounds. Here is another article that shows Reimer was 2nd to Rinne when it came to rebounds. http://nhlnumbers.com/2013/7/15/can-goa ... they-allow
He looks awkward at times, but gets the job done. The rebound thing is annoying since it is a complete myth that has been debunked.

+1. Read those and it will clear things up for you Steve. Leaf Nation has an incredible bias against Reimer. The "eye test" often fails to give the right picture.Bruyns wroteCOLONRead the article I linked Steve. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/pric ... alie-race/ It's difficult to argue with numbers and Reimer is amazing on rebounds. Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
i will read the article because i like you, but i dont read too much into stat breakdown like CORSI and such, i think they are magical numbers/systems people make up because they are bored.
i could easily write a formula to show how awful reimer is.

"Even-strength save percentage—the number favoured by the analytical world—suggests yes, Reimer is approaching elite status. On the basis of the past three seasons, his number is better than Carey Price’s and just a notch below Henrik Lundqvist and Tuukka Rask."
