During the leafs game they were tlaking about Neals his during the intermission. Some were more bothered by neals hit than thorntons stomping.

I tend to agree, Thorton's was all rage, but neals was classless....i'd give neal 6 games.

With that cut I'd be more concerned about the innervation to his cheek. I can tell if that's a full thickness laceration from the picture, but the blood flow would be ok (I think ) especially once it's sutured. That nerve is lacerated though I think... Plastics and ENT will have a nice job there.
