I don't think it's possible to land Stamkos for any cheaper than this, which means Luke can flip whenever he wants and get an equal/better return.

Also, not sure if this makes Nick stronger or weaker. Depends on what he moves Yakupov for.

Yakupov is interesting. There is risk (KHL) but there is also the fact that it's the ultimate buy-low on a 1st overall pick.

Good trade overall.

I really like both Kareem and Mike's offers, but what they lacked was the potential to have a star. This one has potentially two.

Good trade.

Like lukes side though.

If only because he got rid of one of those pesky russians.

Yea, if I had to pick a side, I go with Luke's as well.

See, I personally think nick won this deal.

He adds a top end piece and the potential of yak.

I can't tell which side I like better given the Stamkos injury..probably means its a pretty even trade.

I kinda realized that if Pete had offered much with Karlsson I'd have taken it, and even though EK scores a lot, Weber straight up does everything... and Yak is definitley an add.

Compared to another high end offer that had good W + D + 1sts, I dunno if i could add the 1sts with that deal to land these 2 (although it would be close) - this was just a good easy fit for me.

Next year I will miss Stamkos, or in 6-weeks when he heals like Wolverine.

Yak is Bure - game is different and Oil don't have Patt Quinn making it work.
