Its the big one. Stamkos is now projected to miss the rest of season most likely. Would be a miracle to be back for playoffs (if tbl makes it) but with physio time required + practice time i doubt it

Not really a showdown. Just shows that even though Kareem doesn't show up as often on these forums, he is the same person. I tried multiple times to actually talk hockey in that back and forth. And he kept going back to his old ways.

Absolutely terrible news about Stamkos...I hope that ESPN isn't true and we'll at least get to see him next season. Much like when Crosby missed basically an entire year...the league isn't as good without its superstars. He's a good guy and an even better player...can't help but wish him well.

what is ESPN on about? this is a broken bone, not a concussion. He'll be fine - it just takes time to heal.

I'll take a broken tibia over a serious concussion, knee ligament damage, or even bolland's tendon injury 100 times out of 100.

That is the part that sucks the most, IMO. Stamkos really is a great guy by all accounts, works hard, plays the right way, and is a humanitarian off the ice.
