Sabres Block
I am looking for a NHL C who is playing everyday and would also like to add a defenceman. Open to prospect for prospect type trades too. I realize there aren't many sellers out there right now and no one is looking to trade NHLers for prospects, but the price is probably lower for my prospects now then it will be in the offseason when they are closer to being full time NHLers. I feel everyone listed below has trade value and I've included some notes for GMs who might be unfamiliar with them and too lazy to google.
Available:
Taylor Pyatt 1.55M - Currently playing on top line and PP while Callahan is out. Vigneault seems to like him as he also played him with the Sedins and he is good for hits and SHTOI.
Vladimir Namestnikov - TB 2011 1st rounder is a C who plays a N.A. style living most of his life here. 6pts in 5 AHL games this season.
"Namestnikov is a complete package prospect who can excel in seemingly every aspect of the game”, Pronman notes. “He skates well, has good hand-eye coordination, is creative with the puck, plays great defense, drives the physical areas, is tough, and has high-end hockey sense. His vision/sense stand out amongst his other tools, but Namestnikov has the offensive package to score at a significant level and play the tough defensive minutes at the same time.”
Andrew MacWilliam - Big stay at home D that many Leafs fans here will be familiar with. Had a very strong training camp and has been a fixture in the Marlies top 6 over more established D like Jesse Blacker.
Connor Murphy - 2011 PHX 1st rounder 6'5 D with offensive skill.
"A rangy blueliner who is a very mobile skater, Murphy is still growing into his size and high potential. He is a smooth skater who gets around the ice and plays a smart, confident game with and without the puck. Plays with some good physicality and is very effective with a long reach and wing span."
Shayne Gostisbehere - Philly D playing in the NCAA who is their 4th ranked prospect behind Laughton, Cousins and Morin. Turned heads with a breakout performance at the WJs where "Gostisbehere, 19, has quarterbacked Team USA's power play while anchoring the second defensive pairing with Jacob Trouba" he also "helped carry Union College to the NCAA's Frozen Four last April as a freshman, just 2 months before being nabbed by the Flyers in the third round"
Jake McCabe - Another NCAA D who represented the US at the WJs. McCabe captained the team to a gold medal performance standing out as a solid 2 way defenceman.
"For such a young player, McCabe thinks the game remarkably well. He possesses excellent vision and anticipates/follows play quite well. What makes McCabe so effective in defensive situations are his stick work and grit. Another notable characteristic of McCabe’s is his skating. He has good agility and moves well both north-south and laterally."
Jordan Subban - Surprised he dropped to the Canucks in the 3rd round and will be more surprised if he isn't playing in the NHL with his brothers in a few years.
Brodeur/Thomas - Good goalies with no description needed
David Jones 4M - Only 29 and his career seems reinvigorated playing on the top line in Calgary and putting up solid stats across multiple cats. So far this season 1.8 hits/gm 1.4 BLK/gm 3+MIN of PP and 1 MIN of SHTOI per game.
Andrew Alberts - Canucks 7th D who has played 2 games this season and could see regular time with injuries
Rickard Rakell - ANA 2011 1st rounder was a late cut this year and has an NHL future ahead of him likely as a top 6 winger
"Rakell has become a very well-rounded player. His strong two-way game, hockey sense and offensive instincts saw him push over a point-per-game in his final OHL season for the second straight year. He was one of Sweden’s more effective forwards in their gold-medal run at the World Juniors in 2012, and was equally as effective in the silver-medal 2013 campaign. Rakell has developed his physique nicely in a short period of time"
Brad Ross - Another prospect Leafs fans will be familiar with, stood out as one of the best players on the ice in the preseason rookie tourny and projects to be a bottom 6 pesky winger who should provide plenty of hits and PIMs.
Sebastien Collberg - Montreal 2012 pick 33rd overall, if he wasn't a hab I'd probably keep him
"Collberg is a very skilled forward with excellent skating skills and speed while possessing excellent one-on-one moves. The Swedish sniper doesn't shy away from the dirty areas, knows how to find the soft spots to score goals and has an elite wrist shot which he can release in a hurry with great accuracy and velocity. The talented winger projects as a top-six forward at the NHL level."

Re: Sabres Block
I've turned down a few offers for Gudas that other GMs probably would have made in a heart beat. VERY unlikely he is moved and not for Ennis straight up even.anton wroteCOLONennis for gudas, shinkaruk
Re: Sabres Block
Namestnikov is smelly, but in a good way - like the ocean.
