Please specify which categories I gain huge in? Pretty sure Sutter + Oshie get more SHTOI than Lupul and Ference (which is insane considering you have a D on your side). Points is close. Blocks you win but that is expected when you have a D on your side, doesn't imply an improvement. But FOW does as Cs are way more valuable than D.

points is close is it?

lupul had 18 pts in 16 games. oshie had 20 in 30...that's not close.

ference had 13 points in 48 games. sutter had 19. that IS close, but not a good sign for your argument considering its a C vs D comparison. especially considering ference is looking at an increased load in EDM while sutter is a permanent 3rd liner.

lupul + ference = ~ 60 more hits than oshie + sutter
lupul + ference = ~ 15 more BS than oshie + sutter

PIMs isn't really close.

PTS, Hits, BS, PIMS are substantial wins for my duo.

i really couldn't even care less if he accepted the lupul + ference offer at this point.

but "LOLing" at a reasonable offer in public and then turning around and sending PMs like O'reilly for Lupul + Kreider + Brunner is Shiv to a fucking T.

Lupul's 16 game sample is supposed to be used by me to hope that he does it here? Because that would mean he's a 90 point player.

I instead choose to look at this via expectation of stats.

Oshie - 55 point player
Lupul - 70 point player
Sutter - 35 point player
Ference - 20 point player

Goals - Lupul/Ference
Assists - Oshie/Sutter
Points - Tied
+/- random
PIMS - Lupul/Ference
Hits - Lupul/Ference
SHTOI - Oshie/Sutter
FOW - Oshie/Sutter
Blocks - Lupul/Ference
STPTS - Tied
GWG - Random
SOG - Oshie/Sutter

That comes to 4-4-4.

And does not include the fact that:

1. You save 2M in cap
2. You land a C for a D
3. You change 34 year old Ference to 24 year old Sutter.

What the fuck? Now you're lying to save face?

Also - expect to get ridiculed when you make terrible offers like Lupul + Ference for Sutter + Oshie.

how about an 82 game sample then?..because lupul has 85 points over his last 82 games. or are we ignoring that?

You can't selectively transpose a 16 game sample onto his last season. Because then one could look at a season before that and pick another random 16 games where he had a bad streak. The best thing I can do is create an expectation. I'm even fine with calling Lupul an 80 point player for the sake of this argument (which IMO he is not. to be an 80 point player, the expectation of that performance would need to be 100% or at least 75 which I don't think it is. 70 is probably the Over Under for Lupul).

You should make a deal with Anton for Ference then. We obviously value players differently.

Haha - actually went and checked my PMs to verify that you didn't photoshop that. But it is legit.

That being said, still doesn't change that your offer here was terrible.
