As you are a die hard shark fan, I would have no problem with that.

don't get your hopes up though, it won't happen.

Mike wroteCOLONYeah tbh it wouldn't even be something we'd have the CC look at in the first place.
You're right I actually never really thought about it. It should definitely be a league wide decision if it ever came up. Wouldn't be right for a handful to make such a massive decision for the rest of us lol. Definitely above the required duty of the CC lol.

Actually, I kinda meant on the opposite side of the spectrum, would be an admin decision :)

Bad news I know. But after 4+ years under my control how much worse could this cesspool get?

I'd say we would lose about 30% of our members with a restart.

Signed up for a keeper league... By Design against a restart. I do not get why it's such a big conversation.

I've been running this team for 4 years - and I think that speaks to the quality of this league. This is easily the best, most in depth fantasy league I know of (in actual practice) - no urge to fck with that at all.

As shep suggests, I restart would kill the league of at least 30 percent of its gm's

I'd think most of our remaining original guys would leave as we have the most invested.

Addressing arguments that support a restart:

It will be fun - Only during the draft. We did a fantasy NHL draft a couple of years ago in this league. It was fun for about 10 rounds then people stopped caring.
It will rebalance the league - The league is constantly getting rebalanced with a new draft each year. DAL + DET for example have added assets at each of the last 2 drafts.
It will increase activity - The only thing that will increase activity in this league are GMs that want to trade. With Steve, myself, Anton, Kareem not trading as much, the trade market has cooled drastically. There is a group of 5-6 GMs because of which trading activity in this league has constantly been chugging along. GMs make a trade with the 5-6 GMs, then the 5-6 GMs make a trade with a different GM. PIT/X, LAK/Y, CHI/Z are constant themes on trades posted with the opposing parties being revolving doors. And we create a lot of the buzz too with PMs. Me and Steve constantly messaging someone about a player leads them to make a block on the player.

Also, teams have put way too much time into this league. The "fun" of this league is the concept that there are no restarts. A team like Nick's that has accumulated Stamkos, Crosby and Giroux should not have to give them up. I would not want to give up my team after all the time I've put into it even though I would finally have a prospect pool lol.

And the last point here is that GMs that are working on building their teams into contenders like NYR, CGY, EDM, PHI, should be given the opportunity to see that plan through. What would be the fun of teams accumulating top prospects if we restart every 5 years when those prospects do not even end up ready to make an impact?

I think we will lose about 30% in the next year or so regardless. Talks with gms about their fading interests is what pushed me to keep this conversation going. Its not like i would have a better team if we restarted (which again, i know will never happen) So it definitely isnt selfish motivation for me to discuss this, i just simply see some positives is all.

Everyone knows it isnt happening so stop getting so worked up boys.

Only reason why I would be sad to reset is that I would no longer have Brent Burns

Oddly enough, now having him, would be the only thing i'd hate about resetting.

Just wouldn't let it happen. It's a new league, not the buds board keeper league that is going onto it's 5th successful season.
