Answer me this: What is the point of the roster submission thread if we can leave players off of it and still retain their rights? I'm not disagreeing that he made a mistake, he screwed up. That is not my fault. It is clearly stated, as I have said many times, that players not submitted are no longer owned by that team.Nick wroteCOLONIf i drafted sverson clearly in the draft thread, had him on my spreadsheet, had him on my CBS, and at no point had I been over the roster limit, I can see no logic in taking away a player for a mistake. It's actually rather petty.

It's just another case of the BC crew defending the BC crews interests blindly. Except for when it comes to them raping their buddies teams of assets, apparently.Big Fun wroteCOLONNo more fighting

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
there is literally no point in having a roster submission thread if it's not required to post everyone on your roster in it.
either follow the rules or ignore them and eliminate the roster submission thread.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Who's job is it to delete this player off my CBS roster when a mistake like this happens? Who's supposed to let me know that I made a mistake because obviously it was a mistake and I wouldnt know. Because technically, I couldve played Ranger for cap purposes or if he had gotten called up last year, I couldve activated him. I obviously thought Ranger was still on my team so I wouldn't know that this move would be illegal. Would I then have to forfeit the whole week?Lee wroteCOLONAnswer me this: What is the point of the roster submission thread if we can leave players off of it and still retain their rights? My issue is..why wasnt this mentioned earlier (shortly after roster submission). The guy signs an NHL contract and suddenly we find the mistake haha
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
it's an out of date rule. It was written for season 1, has no relevance to our RUNNING ROSTERS since that first roster submission.

He could not have been called up as he was on an AHL only contract.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
My only connection with "Nick and the BC crew" is that were in the same league together. Most likely the same connection as you have with the "BC crew".Lee wroteCOLONIt's just another case of the BC crew defending the BC crews interests blindly. Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
If we do this, then waiver eligible players will be able to be sent to the minors freely at the beginning of the season. I thought one of the purposes of the roster submission thread was so that people could not hoard waiver eligible players in their minor league system. These players require waivers to be sent to the minors, which mimics the NHL rules. There are no recall waivers, so this will just lead to hoarding.anton wroteCOLONthere is literally no point in having a roster submission thread if it's not required to post everyone on your roster in it.

Ok, I couldve traded him and this whole thing would've been more confusing. My thing is, if I broke a rule because I made a mistake, why wasn't I notified right away? Why wasn't Paul Ranger deleted from my CBS roster right away? Why is made apparent that I made a mistake and broke a rule now that Paul Ranger has signed an NHL contract with the Leafs?Lee wroteCOLONbcool wroteCOLONWho's job is it to delete this player off my CBS roster when a mistake like this happens? Having said that, I'm cool with whatever CC decides. I'm not going to get personal, this league is just for fun. Also, I'm perfectly fine if CC wants to make an example out of me and this situation for the betterment of the league. However, moving forward I hope with any rule, that if we are to enforce it - we do it the right way.

Can't speak for others who could have notified you, but I didn't know he wasn't included in your submission until Lee brought it up.bcool wroteCOLONOk, I couldve traded him and this whole thing would've been more confusing.
