i wouldn't call it bad luck.. they decided not to give up their 1st when it was pick #29 lol, this is what they get as a reward.. if it was Feaster instead of Lamouriello we wouldn't hear the end of it.CAM wroteCOLONYea, if the cap was to stay at 64 and losing a franchise player meant nothing. Oh and having to give up your first round pick when your gonna be bottom 5 team. Lol, yea great luck had by devils.

Bruins announce eight-year contract extension for Patrice Bergeron. Annual cap hit of $6.5 million.

It's pretty crazy how well Bergeron's career has gone since that concussion. Most of us, and I'm sure most in the NHL, thought he was done for good four years ago, and that if he ever made a come-back he would not be the same player, nevermind better...

This could be a bad trend - we do not need the bottom pairing & 3rd line forwards of the NHL heading over-seas.

According to the sport experience is now interest in Markström one or more clubs in the KHL.
Markström itself is quiet about the situation.
- I do not comment. I do not know what will happen in the coming season. I have not talked anything with Florida, he says.
• But can you imagine playing in Russia?
- There is nothing I want to speculate in. I'm set to go back to the U.S. after the summer. It's my agent that takes care of everything, you get to talk to him.

This has been my fear since the KHL was formed, and it's only going to get worse once the KHL expands to Sweden and Finland.Nick wroteCOLONThis could be a bad trend - we do not need the bottom pairing & 3rd line forwards of the NHL heading over-seas.

4 years in SKA St Petersburg for Kovalchuk
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
You're surprised? The lockout and new CBA with the lowered cap precisely was going to send those 1.5-3.0 million dollar players overseas if they wanted some money.Nick wroteCOLONThis could be a bad trend - we do not need the bottom pairing & 3rd line forwards of the NHL heading over-seas.
There is too much talent for the NHL right now, regardless of what others think.
