If Chia still has Koko, Bartkowski/Krug and a 1st, what targets are out there? Has to be a puck moving D-man. I am thinking Streit/Boyle????

You lost me Nick. Elaborate please.

And yes Feaster did give a nice Easter to Pit and the entire trade market. Wow. What a trickle down effect so far.

Not the greatest prospects for Jagr but I still think Nieuwendyk has done a much better job than Feaster. I think the Roy trade was pretty much on par although he likely could have swindled a first out of someone.

Great trades for Boston and Vancouver though. Van desperately needed depth at C and well Boston was probably just as desperate to find a RW to play with Krejci. Horton is a shell of what he used to be.

Tomorrows deadline day will be boring, everything is happening now.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 3m

Conditional 2nd rounder BOS will give DAL in Jagr deal becomes a 1st rounder if BOS wins two playoff series. BTW, deal still not official.

that pick is just getting seriously late if Boston wins two series. Smart deal by both.

If they are a first two round exit, that pick is 50ish +/-
If they make it into conference finals, that pick is 57+, some implication that Jagr is likely working well, so the pick switches to 27-30.

Couple of capable GMs in that deal from my perspective.

It's still better than a 2nd if they don't win 2 series...

I cannot believe Nieuwendyk didn't get a first in either deal. I guess Boston's could be a 1st, but still.

its done. macdermid + payne + cond 2nd for jagr. considering the age of jagr about to fold, decent return for dallas. even better if that 2nd ends up becoming a first. i would have hesitated to pay up a first straight up for jagr myself. i certainly wouldn't do it even in bbkl value standpoint

i thought about that too but he has a certain skillset and is still performing. Bruins were desperate for that help and paid for it. Don't think the Pens should just be handed the cup so easy. I'm happy with the trade as a Bruins fan. In hindsight he is probably a better fit for Bostons needs as compared to Iginla. The relationship between Krejci/Jagr and Chara is a huge asset.

your power play just became dangerous. that is a very real factor with Jagr. Give him space, he makes more, increased chance for your team to score.

ya ive never rly heard of payne but potential 1st + macdermid is nice. plus, im not negating that jagr will be very effective during their cup run, but merely speculating the obvious fact that jagr is ur prototypical rental here and a very good one. if boston wins the cup then hell good deal for them. if they lose in quarter finals then hell they lost some value but still have their first. dallas either way gets good value out of the 41 yr old. end of story

Omg i was thinking the same... anyone who actually watch cgy games like i do (i have a lotta cgy players) shud know cammy is an INSANE faceoff man... like insane fucking win ratio... and he takes a fucking LOT of faceoffs and actually wins majority of them. he transitioned very nicely into the role evetually beating stajan for that #1 faceoff job
