Is Harding seriously content in being an elite backup? I don't know why he resigns.

Backstrom only has 1 year left on his deal. He may even be dealt at the draft as Hackett is NHL ready as he showed last year.

Harding/Hackett would be a more than solid tandem.

Well I doubt there is much of a market for Backstrom and I also know the contract talks have already started between Backstrom and the Minny organization. I also think, although Hacket played well, there is no need to rush him and a year in the AHL will only help him. He will likely get called up anyway, Backstrom and Harding are made of glass.

Why Gonchar never had to lol. Eventually when they pair him with Cowen he will be able to get away with even more. You can't teach Karlssons unique ability on the offensive side of the game, that being said defensive mindedness (<--- is that a word) is also something you either have or don't have and Karlsson does not. He will get better at positioning but if anyone is going to count on the kid to play a more defensive game, well you will be let down. Gotta love him for being the unique player he is and take the good with the bad, they're aren't many like him.


Also, think this puts Subban in his place? He is no Karlsson maybe this will bring his asking down from what the rumours have it at lol.
