I'd be ecstatic to get Schultz, and I doubt any tampering charge would stick (C'mon Burkie use em lawyering skills).. I'd find it incredibly difficult to believe though that Gardiner didn't call up Schultz and say something he was told by Burke. Mind you if he simply said it's awesome come over here that isn't tampering. The allegations seem to stem from the fact Schultz has told the Ducks he picked his team months ago.

Dont think Burke cares. Did this with the Sedins too and got away with only a fine. Doubt anything comes of this as tampering is so hard to prove.

Burke wasn't fined or found guilty of tampering, althoughWilson received a slap on the wrist for commenting on the Sedins in a directly positive manner. More likely Burke told Gardiner, Frattin, Bozak and all other NCAA ties he has to tell the kid to come here, at least I hope he did as much.


Duck's fans will be truly upset when Getz and Perry jump ship as UFA's.

Doug Armstrong has confirmed that Tarasenko has agreed to a contract in principle with the St. Louis blues. He will sign in come July 1st.


Fucking huge for me as things were looking dicey there for a while with regards to Tarasenko re-upping in the KHL. Really stoked about this!

Tim Thomas announces via his facebook page that he'll be taking a year off

From the earliest age I can remember, I've wanted to be a hockey player. I've been blessed in my life to not only be able to live that dream, but to achieve more than I ever thought possible.

The singleminded focus that is necessary to accomplish a dream of this magnitude entails (by necessity) sacrifice in other areas and relationships in life.

At the age of 38, I believe it is time to put my time and energies into those areas and relationships that I have neglected. That is why at this time I feel the most important thing I can do in my life is to reconnect with the three F's.

Friends, Family, and Faith.

This is what I plan on doing over the course of the next year.

On top of this, I will continue to train using the ARP/POV system www.ultrafitevosport.com and work with G-Form www.g-form.com in the development of protective equipment.

What does this portend for the future?

We'll see….God's will be done.

Not sure why he'd attempt to come back after. He should have said all this, but retire. Not "take a year off".

Pretty sure the team can suspend him without pay for failing to report to camp while under contract. Just like the Predators did with Radulov.
