The little break has been ok. Ive been reading a song of ice and fire, which i first read 6 years ago. Great reads.

Nice to have the forums back, but we still have a whiles to go until the season starts unfortunately.

The show is absolutely BUTCHERING the books. It's sad and upsetting .

You will enjoy the books soooo much more IMO Tony. You should order them up once the second season is done. Probably be about a year before season 3 comes out after all.

I thought they did well and mimicked the book in season 1, whereas season 2 is a very different tale, although still enjoyable.

You are right, season 2 is where the butchering starts. I should have been more clear.

While it's still enjoyable, as a HUGE fan of the series before they even started talking about making the HBO series, it's disappointing that they are changing it up so much. C'est la vie. I still eagerly await each new episode come Sunday night.

I recall that one being a struggle to get through. I've yet to read A Dance With Dragons and am looking forward to it a lot. It's actually one of the reasons I am doing the re-read. I want to be fully aware of everything that is going on when I do read it for the first time. Just about finished A Clash of Kings

aDw/D starts a lot like prev, but grabs attention again. What makes me most mad about season 2 of GOT -> book 2 was the best book i've ever read, could barely put it down even on 3rd reading.


Honestly -> difference in show might even add some interest for me, WTF IS GOING ON.
