Carkner is solid, just hurt this year.

I will tell you, a healthy Carkner is highly sought after by many contenders.

i'd completely disagree,

Carkner signed a nice 4 year deal here to play on the Island. Come deadline day you'll see one of Lubo/Streit gone, and the only other dman they have is that guy bcool owns.

Carkner is a top 5 dman, if not top 4 on the isles.

Jones is a UFA this year and I just think EDM is getting real deep... and there won't be room for him. His role already diminished considerably since coming back from injury, and Mike Brown was even brought in afterwards...
What you see in Jones' 2011 stats was going to be AS BEST as you were gonna get from him and it was pretty damn good for a 3rd liner, but now with the changing situation here, I doubt that statline in 2011 will ever repeat with EDM. Perhaps he'll be traded by the deadline and another team will benefit from his service, who knows. But for my BBKL team, I had some guys coming back from injuries and I was in a need to clear a spot on my roster. On the other hand, yes, I still believe in Hishon, and Carkner has signed a brand new contract with the Isles before going down. I think the return is secure enough.
