Shiv Rapes IMO. True #1 C with a ton of nice wingers to choose from, for a #2 Dman.

I think Kareem and I both give ourselves a little bit of an edge on this one (usually the case in one for one swaps as it is a matter of preference).

Edler has only 1 more year on his contract after which he will never fetch an asset like Koivu IMO. But for this one year he is going to be money for a contending team - which is what Kareem is going to be.

Koivu is a top-tier C who might be 1.5-2 standard deviations ahead of the average (not sure on this) in terms of how much SHTOI he produces for a top top C with potential for 70+ points. But he is also 6.75M.

Love Edler though - I think him, Simmonds and Boyle have not been traded once since I acquired them last year, which is a feat for me lol

I just don't understand how Mikko Koivu is a true #1 center despite never posting ppg numbers in any professional league (including the AHL and SM Liiga). Nor do I understand how Alexander Edler is a #2 defenceman despite leading the back to back Western Conference Champions in TOI/G the last two seasons.

I can name at least 10 centers that I would have rather than M.Koivu yet I can't even name 4 defenceman I would rather have than Edler. Edler's stats are VERY similar to Weber's and there is no way in the world M.Koivu would be able to fetch anything near Shea Weber..I like it for Kareem.
