100% a troll but at the same point in time I 100% believe Forsberg to be far superior to Sundin lol. I didn't even expect for that to be questioned in my troll to be honest, was simply a alfy vs sundin bash where I obviously concur sundin is better.

Forsberg definitely had more natural talent. But when you take things like leadership, durability, consistency into account, I'd say Sundin is the better Swede easily. Only Swede better than Sundin is Lidstrom. And Swedes might even disagree with that. Sundin is their golden boy.

Ye no doubt about Sundin being their boi back in Sweden.

Picking Foppa over Sundin is akin to picking Bure over Yezerman.

LOL at anyone thinking Sundin is better than Lidstrom ahhahahah. Unfortunately though Shiv, durability and leadership may make someone like myself like the player better but it does not put the player on the same Level. Forsberg, for a time, was the most dominant player in the league. Sundin never came close to that title. I personally hate Forsberg, his character and more importantly his two cheap shots on Shanny but I dont think this battle is close.

For the record I disagree with calling Sundin swedens golden boy lol. I drank with swedes on many occasions and it was always about lidstrom, forsberg and salming. Also if you ever looked at prospect interviews, it was always forsberg or lidstrom as well amoungst the young kids. Sundin is a hall of famer but my fuck I did not prepare to be called on the Forsberg thing.... I figured that was like saying lindros was better than shanny. Shanny had more goals, points and a player I liked wayyyyyyyyy better but no where near in the same class lol.

Sundin: 1349 points in 1346 games
Forsberg: 885 points in 708 games

VS

Yzerman: 1755 points in 1514 games
Bure: 779 points in 702 games

..... not quite the same over statment....

Lidstrom > Sundin
Sundin > Forsberg
Shanny > Lindros

And the number of Swedes you've talked to may have liked Lidstrom more but that's a small sample. Sundin is definitely more revered in Sweden.

Forsberg was a better player than Sundin, and it wasn't very close. He did it all, and had a physical component to his game as well. The only thing Sundin did better than Forsberg was stay healthy.

Shoot a quote then? Im just going off personal conversations and judging by the admiration level of the next generation of swedish hockey players. I think that is a far cry off a small samlple size compared to annocing the level of which Sundin is revered without any sort of backing lol.
