It's a gamble but hopefully that crazy bastard turns his game around to the point where I'll have a starter next year between him and Dubnyk...doesn't necessarily have to be with the Oilers. Part of this is an investment in my goaltending for next year. I've had bad luck with goalie trades recently so fingers crossed.

Mik knows I was hesitant to overpay before I saw any games from him so I think we reached a fair deal. He had one good game and one stinker in OKC and Dubnyk just came off a solid week. Hopefully the duo plays well together...Dubnyk scheduled to start Tuesday.

i don't really think bryz last long.. paying for 2 1st rounders is a lil steep just for GP.. but what do i know i get penalize a first and a waiver for missing 3 goalie GPs.

I see your point Hong but Bryz is less of a bandaid option than buying backup goalie X that might only be with a team for a single year and you have to go get another guy next year. I see giving up J.T. Brown for LaBarbara as a worse investment. As I mentioned, hopefully he or Dubnyk is a starter next year so I don't have a much work to put together my goaltending and I can focus on adding to my team in other places. I'm making a big gamble because the Oilers goaltending situation is the worst in the league but considering where I'm in the standings, I can afford the chance. I'm Team Growing Pains.

Considering he was sniffing around either of my 1sts...I had to bargain with him. This is a gamble without seeing him play, I fully acknowledge that.
