I like this one for the peg. I think duchene will bounce back in a big way but I just think patty kane is better. Hence my nod in luke's favour.

Duchene is capable of the same points + fow, but the big difference is that Duchene is set to earn 3.8M in the next two years vs 6+ for Patrick Kane. That cannot be understated, and in truth was my primary motivation for making this deal.

duchene is capable of the points, but I'm not sure he's matured enough as a more complete centre at this point, I see him as being one of those guys that starts to figure it out in his mid 20's. Secondly there is the question of whether sacco knows how to get him to be that player, because he was being somewhat mis-cast last year

on the topic of dsp he is really young(just turned 20) and nowhere near his full value and if there is a season somewhere around 50 games it will be much harder for him to build on last year's success, I think he's at minimum a year away from making significant contributions

Sacco is a fucking idiot, he played Duchene on and off at center last season after a 67 point campaign at 20, and reduced his TOI by close to two minutes.

He's not a hard sell at all, IMO. I've owned and traded him on multiple occasions, that said I think it is wise to hang onto him for a bit before moving him, especially if there is anything to the Detroit rumors.

I was talking about Jaybo, Duchene is near untouchable, it would take someone you have no intentions of moving to acquire him. (same thing I told Steve)

Jaybo in real life, is a far far more skilled player then Kevin, but he just isn't mean. He does way more in a game, but shows up on the stats sheet WAY less (aside from straight toi measurements). It's one of those weird situations because IMO Jay is a sick player, but damn if he doesn't leave ya wanting mroe because he's SOOOO good, he should accomplish more.

Duchene needs a bounce back for sure, but heavy expectations weigh on a young kid - wouldn't shock me if he took a year or two to refind his game.

i've seen Jaybo live a few times, he is easily the most fluent skater i've ever seen on ice. My god, during the Worlds in Halifax 2007 he could skate backwards faster than Selanne could skate forward -- these are true facts
