No worries man, good talks.
Re: CGY/DET
hmm.
Don't think it should have cost that much to lock up long-shot NHL goaltending prospects to shoreup your EDM system.
But, that's just me.

Re: CGY/DET
I can see where you're coming from.
As it's been said by many, this draft isn't all the deep past the top few picks...but still a top 20-25 pick isn't something to sneeze at so he potentially gets the best piece in the deal. He made a savvy move to jump on Roy when I hinted that I was thinking about pursuing the Oilers system with Khabibulin entering the final year of his deal. He spent a 2nd and 3rd to get Roy so that's where some of the price comes from. I wasn't going to pay him much more than what I paid.
It looks bad because that's the only 1st I have this year but what 1st is going to make an impact for me right away? Nobody outside of the top 10, I don't think. Only I would've paid that much for those two particular guys given who I have.

That 1st could have gotten you a guy like Joe Morrow. You don't think you can stand to wait a year to find out if the guy you got was decent enough to almost make the team and will certainly do so the following season? Come on.Shoalzie wroteCOLONI can see where you're coming from.

Re: CGY/DET
Is it that much worse than throwing away a 2nd rounder on a bet?
Believe me, I'll be curious to see what happens with that pick for Josh. If I had different assets, I probably would've offered him something different. Two 2nd rounders would've been my preferred price...we'll see how it goes. I don't blame anyone for raising an eyebrow in curiousity...but do you own Edmonton's NHL goalies? I obviously don't pursue these two guys if I didn't own Dubnyk and Khabibulin.
