Sad to see him go,

i'm assuming he's quitting because he's barely a top 10 GM.

I'm joking Shiv, you're always have a home in LA as an Assistant to my Assistant minor league GM.

Too bad man. I know you said your mind doesnt work like that but I wish some of you guys were a bit less active as to not ruin all the excitement down the road. Don't need to be on here every damn day for hours and trade everyday. This is a long haul keeper. It sucks that we are losing a great GM because he needs to focus on his career. I am 35 with wife and kid and work full time. This is something fun to look for. I wish you fuckers didnt burn yourself out and over indulge in this great thing called BBKL.

Sad to see you go Shiv man, I got mad respect for you. I hope to see you back in the future.

I think we all need to find that sweet spot where this league stays a hobby and doesn't consume you to the point of becoming a chore. We have lives outside of this league and you just need to keep things in perspective and know that this league is as all for fun.

In the end, only we know ourselves and can best judge the time for us to back away. It's a free league but it involves more activity than most. There's a breaking point for everyone and we're each free to decide where that point is and if we'd like to keep going or move on to do something else. While we are a pretty tight community, no one should feel obligated to hang around because of the wishes of others.

Agree Scott. Thats why when a certain few people would bitch at me about not answering pm's or not being active enough on the trade front i would tell them to shove it. Nothing will sway my interest to this league and as long as I fulfill my duties as GM I ain't going anywhere. Its a hobby and an entertainment, thats it. Hence why i tell people to get outside more...lol.

Also it is important to note that shiv is trying to break through into a career, hence preparing for it often times take even more attention and effort as opposed to most of us kinda cruising through our current career, which we are used to so making a divided time for bbkl is a lot easier. Once shiv passes all the exams and start working for a bit, he will be back i am sure of it.
