Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Near-Untouchable:
JT Miller - Ryan Kesler lite. Excellent core strength, good skater, high skill level, and tenacious two-way game. Will be a force -- as soon as next year?! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=123367
Joe Morrow - Very much like Brendan Smith. Does it all and then some. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=111627
Brock Nelson - Considered to be the best face-offs man in the NCAA. High skill level. Rumoured to be turning pro! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=127790
Calvin Pickard - Just got called up to play with Colorado's AHL affiliate. Played for one of the worst CHL teams yet always kept them competitive. Huge upside: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=110237
Scott Wedgewood - Team Canada WJC member and heir apparent to Martin Brodeur! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=116100
Brandon Saad - Was ranked in the top-ten and tumbled. Perhaps the best PWF prospect outside the NHL. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=123396
Kyle Palmieri - Finally with the Ducks to stay. A goal-scoring force with a physical edge! http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/player ... :p/scoring?
NHL'ers required (can combine):
Mark Stone - Perhaps the best play-making forward outside of the NHL. Extremely high skill level, much improved skating, and 2nd in WHL scoring! Turning pro! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=116184
Phillip Danault - Drafted for his solid skill level and extremely high hockey IQ, this kid will replace David Bolland. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=122605
Colten Teubert - Currently with the Oilers' AHL affiliate, but check out these #s! http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/player ... :p/scoring?
Rickard Rakell - Ever wondered what Mike Brown would look like with a high skill level and self-control? This is it. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=130557
First Round Picks (Or more):
Jeremy Morin - Consummate PWF. Still developing, but highly skilled and loves to play rough. He WILL be a scorer at the NHL level: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=120911
Marc-Andre Bourdon - Has terrific peripheral potential. Hits, fights, blocks shots, and equipped with a great first-pass. http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/player ... /tracking/
Thomas Hickey - Defense has improved immeasurably. Should get his shot soon -- likely not with the LAK organization. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... ?pid=84695
Patrik Nemeth - Heir apparent to Nicklas Grossmann. Hits, blocks shots, fights! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=120191
Marek Tvrdon - Ranked in the first-round prior to injury, is now considered one of the best PWF in the CHL. Does it all! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=130716
Roman Horak - A tough rookie year for the youngster, but his game screams two-way excellence! http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/player ... :p/scoring?
Reilly Smith - NCAA star. About to make the jump. Great skill-level -- a potential replacement for James Neal! http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... pid=115612
Tom Nilsson - He's not worth a 1st -- yet. But he's here because his potential is excellent. He's also a Leafs draft pick.
Anything you can throw at me:
Mirko Hoefflin
David Toews
Radoslav Illo
Mattias Ritola
Drew Olson
Morgan Ellis

Re: Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Yea. Unbelievable hockey player. I should thank Bryan for talking me into taking him because I didn't realize how fucking good he was until I went back and checked out some highlight packages and scouting reports on him. Slow start to his pro-career, he's now 45 games into his career with 40 points, +21, and likely to be called up soon.Arian wroteCOLONcizikas is untouchable?
Re: Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Hard to put it in words, but he'll put up a hit once or twice a game, kill a shitload of penalties, score a bit, and win face-offs. I think he's a very valuable prospect.Arian wroteCOLONcizikas is untouchable?

This has got to be one of the worst prospect groups in BBKL.

Re: Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Not too long ago he was considered one of the top Canadian hockey prospects, right there with Ryan O'Reilly and Taylor Hall, the kid was a living legend at Erindale HS, needless to say he is a helluva talent.Chris wroteCOLONHard to put it in words, but he'll put up a hit once or twice a game, kill a shitload of penalties, score a bit, and win face-offs. Loves Cizikas. I still remember when I drafted him. Luke had the pick and believe Kareem, Billy and myself were all after it so we could draft Cizikas lol.

Bump. Looking to make a deal or two for defensive depth. 90% of you don't even have a chance. Might as well just stock up and blow it up.
Re: Prospect Block -- Vancouver
Although I love the bluntness of this statement and it's something I'd say.. I think we need more middle of the road teams. Keeps things interesting.. especially when those teams make a few trades to get better. I think we just need more proactive GMs on the trade front tbh..Chris wroteCOLONBump. Middle of the road teams = Playoff upsets. I took out a heavy favourite in Steve last year in Round 2. That was fun.

Re: Prospect Block -- Vancouver
I think our rebuilds (and to a lesser extent Shiv) have sparked this movement. Many managers I have spoken too believe the best way to improve is to rebuild and sell of assets for the not too distant future, but what alot of people ignore is the fact that you and I are ALWAYS in the race at the end of the year. Rebuilding in the summer is merely a renovation to recoup assets, and there is no reason it has to be done during the season. It is very possible to compete and rebuild at the same time...Scott wroteCOLONAlthough I love the bluntness of this statement and it's something I'd say.. Absolutely. Sometimes just waiting for the right deal works.. but you need to go out and find the deals to make it work for you.. and quickly.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI think our rebuilds (and to a lesser extent Shiv) have sparked this movement.
