The same could be said about everyone but Bobby Mac and Dreger.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Staal's good, but he's never broken the 50 point barrier, and Kulemin has. But means of pace, Staal was on his way to doing so, but he's pretty poor in the FO circle as well. He's also a below average play-maker - his lack of distribution skills makes him more of a second-line centre.
Second line centre or a first-line left-winger?

Seems I'm in the minority but I take Jordan over Kulemin any day. He was great when both Geno and Sid were out.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
I give Kulemin the edge because of his chemistry with Mikhail Grabovski, but it is very close...
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
ya, I'd prefer Kulemin too.. Staal's good and all but we already have a glutton of Cs especially if you consider Kadri a C(which I don't). It would be a lateral trade at best imho.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
lol no way Pittsburgh would trade Staal for Kulemin straight up.
It would be nice though, to see Malkin with a decent winger for once.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
I hate when people make definitive statements without any insight in to what they are talking about. How do you know the Leafs would consider a Staal for Kulemin swap? It is way to close for anyone to comment on definitively, one way or the other.kyuss wroteCOLONlol no way Pittsburgh would trade Staal for Kulemin straight up.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
well believe it or not, i have a distinct opinion Pittsburgh wouldn't trade J.Staal for Kulemin, whereas the Leafs would give Kulemin to have Staal.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI hate when people make definitive statements without any insight in to what they are talking about. Obv it's just my opinion, but i think if you go and ask to non Leafs fans most would think the same.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Non-Leaf fans also don't want Kulemin play 82 games a year, so they figure "oh just an overrated Leaf player"kyuss wroteCOLONwell believe it or not, i have a distinct opinion Pittsburgh wouldn't trade J.Staal for Kulemin, whereas the Leafs would give Kulemin to have Staal.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI hate when people make definitive statements without any insight in to what they are talking about. Can't wait for Kulemin to have an even better season this year and out-point Kessel. Then maybe people will realize how good he is

I'm with you Mike, and I don't even need a second to think about it. He's a big body, skilled, centre-man with more ceiling then Kulemin can barely even see.Mike wroteCOLONSeems I'm in the minority but I take Jordan over Kulemin any day. He was great when both Geno and Sid were out.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Most non-Leafs fans think every player on the Leafs is shit, and that Jordan Staal is a first line center...
And to clarify, I never questioned that you had an opinion, I questioned the basis for it, which is none.

Seems we've been waiting for Jordal Staal to explode offensively since his rookie season.Nick wroteCOLONI'm with you Mike, and I don't even need a second to think about it. Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
sorry, consistent 20+ goals is impressive, one of the premier 2 way centres (IMO) and his line-mates aren't exactly studs. Just 22 years old as well, no one's ever heard that the big body kids take a lil longer to fully blossom.
and yep...i watched 81 games of Kulemin, close to 35 of J-Stizzle, not commenting based on #.
Also I love Kulemin, would be a money fit for Pitts, next to Geno (ruined the RSL together).

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Jordan Staal has never scored more than 68 points in a season (49 in the NHL) ever...Where do people get the idea that he has a limitless ceiling? Jordan Staal is a fine two way player, but its comments like this that make him one of the most overrated players in the NHL.Nick wroteCOLONI'm with you Mike, and I don't even need a second to think about it.
