That is an exciting trade for Boston, Corvo has a big shot, and can pass the puck around much like Wideman. The threat of two bombs on either side of the pp should open up alot of space for Krejci and Horton down low.Shep wroteCOLONGay.Kezia wroteCOLONClarke M re-signs. Apparently 2/6.5
Also Corvo traded to Boston for 4th rounder

I'm a big Bozak fan and think he could be the perfect 3rd line center for us down the road who can do spot duty on the top 6.

when lombardi gets healthy he makes our 3rd line, and the entire team 3x more dangerous than bozak does.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
no one going to mention Ladd signs with Jets 5 years for 22 million 4.4 per.

Everyone will be all over bozaks nuts just like they all were with Schenn, Kulemin and Grabo when they bounced back.
This has nothing to do with Bozak being on my team btw. Just making that clear.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Lombardi does not "blow", are you kidding me? He is a second line center on most NHL teams, and an ELITE third line center, provided that he is healthy.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
I've always love Lombo's speed.. man, he's dangerous when he's got some open ice. He was just starting to come in to his own too before the concussion. Hopefully he can regain his 2009-2010 form and score 15-20 goals for us while being a top defensive forward on our team.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
In 09-10 he was the second forward on Phoenix for TOI, so I doubt he gets to those levels, but 30-40 points and strong defensive play is well within reach, if not to be expected. The Devil wroteCOLONI've always love Lombo's speed.. man, he's dangerous when he's got some open ice. One more concussion and hes back to la la land.
He's a good 3rd liner but lets not act like he makes our team WAY better than bozak would as our 3rd line C. I'd actually like to see something like:
Lombardi = Bozak - Armstrong
as our 3rd line when hes back. Bozak is just great on the draw and will put up 30 or so of his own this year.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
You realize that this statement applies to everyone, right? It doesn't always take multiple concussions to end a players athletic career, nor do multiple concussions necessarily lead one to "la la land."KapG wroteCOLONOne more concussion and hes back to la la land.
Bozak has never put up 40 points let alone 50, it is not a stretch at all to say that Lombardi makes our team WAY better than Bozak has in his first two seasons in the NHL.KapG wroteCOLONHe's a good 3rd liner but lets not act like he makes our team WAY better than bozak would as our 3rd line C. As for your third line suggestion, I would rather have Kadri in that role, and give Bozak a ton of special teams minutes, not unlike Maxime Talbot.

Well, the more concussions you have Kareem, the more likely you are to get another one, no? Lombardi has had a few serious ones, has he not? One more could be the end of him (career wise) and that's the point I was trying to make by saying that.
The part I bolded at the bottem isn't a bad idea and I could see the Leafs doing something just like that. Probably best for Kadri too.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
I understand your point, but it isn't necessarily as simple as one more concussion for Lombardi and he is done. There is very little knowledge about brain trauma and concussions, certainly not enough to draw a definitive conclusion after X amount of concussions, and JTFR Lombardi has had two concussions, not multiple, at least to my knowledge.KapG wroteCOLONWell, the more concussions you have Kareem, the more likely you are to get another one, no?
