Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
We typically do a reset of the C/W positions before each season. If Mik can produce a list, I'll update that information for the sheets. I'll offer to help if necessary.
I think when we renew the league for the next season on the site, the position information doesn't carry over and it uses whatever position eligibility that Fantrax uses. What's helpful is we have the FOT shown as a category so clarifying who is a C or W is much easier.

Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
it's just on my spreadsheet you have guys at C that were W last year.

Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
What I had originally done was I grabbed the player list off Fantrax during the summer and any player that was C/W, I did my own thing where I'd use the NHL.com to figure out if they were C or W. I needed to assign your players either position so they show up as a lineup option. I can have that updated by this weekend.

take my DB, I already did the work for the other leaguesShoalzie wroteCOLONWhat I had originally done was I grabbed the player list off Fantrax during the summer and any player that was C/W, I did my own thing where I'd use the NHL.com to figure out if they were C or W. Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
Hmm, we may have different FOR than your other league?

Identical. The FOT column on FT came from the other league using the same formula as here. Only difference is how many and when the positional adjustments are made, the formula is the same.Matthew wroteCOLONHmm, we may have different FOR than your other league?

Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
Right. We might use a different threshold than ADHL. I'm going to run FOT numbers tonight and update positions in the database. You guys should see some adjustments as you work with your sheets.
Some work will need to be done Fantrax if someone would like to volunteer to help. We'll need to narrow a player's position to either C or W for those with the C/W designation.

didn't he just say the opposite?Shoalzie wroteCOLONRight. We might use a different threshold than ADHL.
isn't foofnik's DB supposed to save us the work on Fantrax? Some work will need to be done Fantrax if someone would like to volunteer to help.

I am pretty sure he sends a list to FT and they do a mass change for us.kyuss wroteCOLONdidn't he just say the opposite?Shoalzie wroteCOLONRight. We might use a different threshold than ADHL.

I can extract the position overrides we have and it's likely as simple as sending to FT to match.

I couldn't remember if we use something 0.40 or 0.45 for our FOR threshold and they used a different value. I know the ADHL has a stricter GP rule than what we use.

maybe foofnik will clairify and say otherwise, but to me this sounds like we have the same rules?foofnik wroteCOLONIdentical. but it could be that he forgot about GP minimum differences (not sure we should keep things different though, if that's case)
Re: BBKL policy for Centers and Wingers
Right now the positions should be identical. Once the season starts, ADHL has a positional review earlier than here so at that point positions won't match, but right now they should be identical.
For upload into FT, you can do it right in commish area. I download the full players list from FT, import it into my DB, and then export the list with current contracts and positions and then upload that .csv into FT again and it's done instantly there.
It takes a few minutes to update contracts and positions once I import it into my DB, after that it's about 1 minute of work to export and get FT updated.
But all that aside, Scott values building his DB and putting in the time, his DB is more robust than mine is. I'm not trying to step on any toes here, just offered a quick solution to remove the duals right now for everyone so they can continue prepping.
