But why? It doesn't mean he doesn't lose a good player, it just means I don't have as much time to plan. As a matter of fact the most likely consequence is that he loses time in which he could've been working out a deal with me to keep a better player. But he hasn't done it just out of spite?

Well, if you don't plan on cutting deals it doesn't really matter does It? Judging from the state of his team I doubt he is going to pay to protect anyone.

Had a hard time predicting who he would protect too, I know he loves Clutterbuck/Martin but hard to protect them when he has Kovy, Sobotka, Scheifele, Jenner, Voracek, Drouin, so he has to leave one of those 8 guys unprotected. Tough decision on goalies too.

Also his sheet still isn't showing Kovy needs protection so if you read this Shoalzie or Kyle you should update that.

No, if he's gonna be a dick and not update his sheet till the last moment for no reason other than spite, than he runs the risk of for whatever reason not being able to do it and leaving everyone exposed.

nah he's not a dick.. he is just not as active as before so he's taking his time to do the update.. hell i think he didn't know about the stats line of his players from last season..

Matt just said he's known who he'd be protecting. If he's willing to take the time to tell Matt what his list is, he would've had the time to put 10 P's on his SS. No other reason to not do it than spite.
