the real NHL does not allow multiple claims in a 24 hour period if I'm not mistaken, so why should we?mr. bruin wroteCOLONWell i think this is a wording issue. Why would a GM not be able to put in multiple claims but only be allowed to be successful once in a 12 hour period? That is my understanding anyways. Making a claim is one thing but succeeding in your claim is another. I tried to break this out before with relation to wording because the words tossed around tend to get misused. That is why i tried to get everyone to follow the same protocol. Like signing a free agent is one thing and placing a claim on a player that is on waivers is another. And to add to that a successful waiver claim is also different than placing a claim. I think we need to clarify this wording. It only makes sense that you can make multiple claims, does it not? But following the CBA you can only be successful once in the allotted period. That is why i thought the timing and order of claims was very important. Maybe we should get this figured out...I seem to have a different understanding of the wording than what you interpreted so that means it is grey. Lets clear this up in the CC.

So in the real NHL, if there were 2 players on waivers at the same time can a team see if a claim was made on one of the players that may have a higher rank? Like if you knew a team with a higher rank made a claim, can you retract that claim and try for the other guy?

I'm pretty sure all claims are final, and cannot be retracted once approved by league offices, but I am not 100% sure on that.mr. bruin wroteCOLONSo in the real NHL, if there were 2 players on waivers at the same time can a team see if a claim was made on one of the players that may have a higher rank?
