interesting observation hong. it looks like it should have counted to me but remember categories like hits, blocked shots, shots on goal are subject to human error - nhl wont get 100% of it right. theyll come close to 100% but absolute perfection is tough in those categories.

its also possible the hit will be recorded later in the week but just has not been recorded yet.

Yea Hits is a stat that is not recorded properly for sure. It is different from building to building. The guy in Minnesota doing Clutterbuck, is trigger happy. I have sen some big hits in games involving my players only to look at the stat and see nothing. I think you will find an increase on hit stats for the home team vs away. just an opinion. Id like to compare actually...

Yea after watching the hit count produced in Bruins Pens game, there is without a doubt a favoritism I assume at all home rinks by all teams. Last stat i saw was Pitts at 36 hits and Boston at 11. I watched the entire game, no way in hell is that accurate. Nice 7-4 win though.
